The Warzone Season 6 patch opened up a lot of space for weapons to shine, so for those wondering what the best weapons are now, here’s the current meta.
Since the Krig 6‘s dominance was gotten rid of in the previous season, with new Cold War weapons being added, and even some Vanguard blueprints, many may be wondering what weapons to use in Season 6. The best weapons are constantly shifting as players find new optimal attachments and loadouts for certain weapons.
The meta is defined on how strong and popular certain weapons are, with that being said, here’s the current Warzone meta for Season 6.
Current Warzone meta Assault Rifle – AK-47 (Cold War)
The Cold War AK-47 has always been a strong AR choice, but in Warzone Season 6 this weapon took the lead, especially considering the Krig 6’s nerfs last season. Although the EM2 is also a good shout, the AK-47 is widely considered to be one of the best Warzone guns, with pretty easy to control recoil. It might not have long-range potential like a Kilo does, but if you hit your shots, it will be unstoppable. Here are our picks for the best AK-47 loadouts in Warzone.
Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
Barrel: 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
Optic: Axial Arms 3x
Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
Magazine: 45 Rnd
Current Warzone meta SMG – Bullfrog
The Bullfrog is an excellent SMG option in Season 6 and is currently meta due to its sheer output at close range. One of the best things about the Bullfrog is its magazine size, which is a whopping 50 rounds without any extended magazine attachment. This is great because it frees up stops for other attachments to make it even more deadly. As well as a fast fire rate to dominate from range, this weapon is versatile, as it also performs well at medium ranges so you can finish the job. Check out the loadout we use to get the most out of the Bullfrog.
Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
Barrel: 7.4″ Task Force
Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
Current Warzone meta Sniper – Swiss K31
Similar to the Kar98k, the Swiss K31 has been meta in the sniper category since its release. This is mostly because of its great mobility for a sniper. Although the damage at longer ranges isn’t as great as something like the ZRG, it’s one of the best snipers in the game for quick scoping and taking enemies out quickly that are in close to medium range.
Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
Barrel: 24.9″ Combat Recon
Laser: SWAT 5mW Laser
Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip Rear
Grip: Serpent Grip
Current Warzone Meta Perks
In Warzone Season 6, each perk slot has one or two perks that are used by the majority of players, and play a significant role in the meta.
For Perk 1, the best and most popular perk is Double Time. Close behind is Cold-Blooded, which can be a useful perk as it counters the effects of Combat Scout.
For Perk 2, you will need Overkill if you are running two primary weapons or Ghost if you are happy using a secondary weapon in your loadout. These are the most used Perk 2 perks in the current meta by a considerable margin.
For Perk 3, Amped – which gives you faster weapon swapping – is still the most popular choice in Warzone. However, the new Combat Scout perk also boasts a decent pick rate and is making an impression in the Season 6 meta.
There you have it, that’s all of the current Warzone meta weapons in Season 6. We hope you have fun in Warzone battles!
